1948–1952 Ford F-1 Truck Door Latches – Altman Easy Latch™

This Altman Easy Latch kit is a vehicle-specific, bolt-on bear jaw rotary claw door latch system designed for 1948–1952 Ford F-1 trucks. It is intended to replace worn, abused factory latches and provide smooth, secure door operation that matches the quality of a properly restored or custom-built truck.

The kit is not a universal application. Each latch and jam plate is contoured specifically for the Ford F-1 door structure to ensure proper fitment and alignment. The rotary claw latches are engineered to work with the factory exterior handles, interior handles, and exterior door lock cylinders. All latch components are zinc plated for corrosion resistance, with case-hardened internal latch claws for long-term durability and strength.

Each kit includes all components required to complete both doors, along with templates and detailed installation instructions. No welding is required.

Note: The Altman Easy Latch kit does not allow the doors to be locked from the inside unless power lock actuators are installed.
