Mechanical-to-electronic vehicle speed sensor designed to simplify the installation of an electric speedometer while retaining a mechanical speedometer cable. This sensor is compatible with Ford transmissions that use a plug-in style speedometer cable output and is ideal for street rods, customs, and muscle cars upgrading to an electronic speedometer.
The sensor uses Hall-effect technology to generate a clean 12-volt square-wave signal with a 16 pulse-per-revolution output, making it compatible with most electronic speedometers. A mechanical cable output is integrated into the design, allowing continued use of mechanically driven cruise control systems where required.
Designed to provide reliable, accurate vehicle speed signals while maintaining flexibility in mixed mechanical and electronic setups.
